New Relic announces new Impact Fund 2022

New Relic is making an investment in the future of digital access!

NewRelic.org is committed to creating more equitable access to technology. Which is why we are excited to announce our new Impact Fund. The fund will provide financial grants for nonprofits to support technological growth.

Expand your operational impact with a grant from NewRelic.org

We will award $100K in grants to eligible nonprofit organizations in 2022.

Grant size will be determined by New Relic ranging from $5,000- $25,000 per project. We’re looking to support nonprofits with strategic or innovative technology needs, digital transformation projects, and creative solutions to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

The application process will be open to all eligible nonprofits from May 16 — June 10, 2022. Grant recipients will be announced in August 2022. To determine eligibility, please see our FAQ.

Projects that support digital transformation

We’re interested in funding projects that focus on:

  • Server enhancements, from on-premises to the cloud
  • Addressing accessibility across digital properties or programs
  • Implementing paperless processes or improvement programs
  • Integrating organizational change management into technology initiatives
  • Fundraising or donor/constituent engagement systems
  • Enhancing volunteer management systems, processes, and programs
  • Integrating systems/applications
  • Training and collaborative application of data science, systems engineering, software engineering, and/or cybersecurity subject matter
  • Observability enablement

What we’re evaluating

  1. Alignment

Clear alignment with a vision for digital transformation to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Impact

Demonstrate potential for impact and the difference this project will make for your organization, and those you serve.

3. Sustainability

A clear plan for achieving sustainable impact at scale, including noting possible challenges and how they’ll be addressed.

What are the eligibility requirements?

U.S. based nonprofits with verifiable 501c3 status. Organizations must act in accordance with and have a policy consistent with New Relic’s Anti-Discrimination policy. They may not discriminate against a person or a group on the basis of sex, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, religion disability, ethnic group, marital status, military or veteran status; nor any other class status protected by applicable local law.

Projects must be for digital transformation and must not include impact reporting, website development, or campaign management.

Nonprofits do not have to be current New Relic Observability for Good customers, nor will being a New Relic customer impact funding decisions.

Who should apply?

Organizations with a need to fund digital transformation projects for nonprofits to implement, adopt, or create digital tools and technologies, including but not limited to:

  • Server enhancements, from on-premises to the cloud
  • Addressing accessibility across digital properties or programs
  • Implementing paperless processes or improvement programs
  • Integrating organizational change management into technology initiatives
  • Fundraising or donor/constituent engagement systems
  • Enhancing volunteer management systems, processes, and programs
  • Integrating systems/applications
  • Training and collaborative application of data science, systems engineering, software engineering, and/or cybersecurity subject matter
  • Observability enablement
